The 42 ‘colles’ classified for the 3 events of the 29th Concurs de Castells are now locked in. The events will be taking place on Sunday, the 29th of September at 10am in Plaça del Castell, Torredembarra; on Saturday, the 5th of October at 4.30pm, at the Tarraco Arena Plaça (TAP) in Tarragona, and on Sunday, the 6th of October at 10am, also at the TAP in Tarragona. The classification has into account the 3 best castells out of the 5 best performances for every ‘colla’ from the 1st of September 2023 until the 31st of August 2024.
Points for this classification are assigned following the 'Concurs de Castells’ points table, through the Data Base of the Coordinadora de Colles Castelleres de Catalunya - Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona.
The organization of the Concurs de Castells has officially invited today the 42 classified ‘colles’, which will have 48 hours to confirm their attendance to the 29th Concurs de Castells or renunciate instead. In case of the latter, the organization will invite the following ‘colles’ in order of appearance.
On Monday, the 9th of September, the final list of participating ‘colles’ will be unveiled and, on Wednesday, the 11th of September, the official drawing that will assign every location in the arena and the order of performance for the 3 events will be held, an event that will be open to the public and will take place in Teatre Tarragona, while also being available on Xarxa Audiovisual Local and TAC12.
